One of my favorite seafood without any scales, the Squid! It is really deliriously delicious!
I hope I am not offending anyone… but I would just like to know why was the squid treated as an “unclean” food by an ancient tribe of nomads and sheep herders? I understand as well that the squid is non-Kosher for my Jewish friends and it is haram for my Muslim friends. My Christian friends love eating squid although they also read and follow the same books read by my Jewish and Muslim friends.

Jesus declared all foods clean. See Mark 7 in the Christian New Testament. He said it isn’t what goes into a man that makes him unclean, it is what comes out of the heart–murders, adultery, lies, greed, and the like–that defile him.
Why did God command Moses these things then? For the people’s health. He says that if the people will follow these commands they will not experience the diseases the Egyptians suffered.

I had chance to try it in China. I enjoyed it, but it isn’t my favorite.

That’s nice… Grilled squid is my favorite. Some like to eat its cousin, the octopus. But I don’t eat octopus…

That’s okay… Culinary is culture dependent and geographically influenced. I will never eat maggots but certain people eat them like delicacies. Hahaha!
