The Php5 coin commemorating the 70th Leyte Gulf Landing… Don’t spend it if you have one as this coin is Limited Edition only and may be a collector’s item in the future!
The Leyte Gulf-landing coin has a diameter of 27 mm. Its obverse side has the image of the Leyte Landing Memorial Monument on Red Beach in Palo, Leyte, along with the markings “Leyte Gulf Landing” and “1944-2014.” Its reverse side has Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s famous quotation “I have returned. By the grace of Almighty God our forces stand together again on Philippine soil—soil consecrated in the blood of our two peoples.” Along with those are the markings “Republika ng Pilipinas,” Gen.
