Sometimes I wish that I have this kind of a monster machine as a car every time I drive in Manila’s worsening traffic situation… Where buses and jeepneys load and unload passengers right in the middle of the road, where undisciplined motorists overtake in a “no overtake road”, block the intersection, and counterflow where it is not allowed.
Metro Manila is a place where road anarchy has become a norm and the one enforcing the traffic rules are just but dummies waving their hands just to show they are doing their work! Aaargh!!!

It’s about time indeed to change the penalties. But sadly, no politician here wants to change them here. Aaargh!

Yeah or they lose votes. Just like the politicians wants the poor to stay poor so they could just dictate to them.

Rightly said, bebs… The poor so easily believe what these politicians are saying…

The machine in the image is similar to our snow ploughs here. You need to get a bulldozer to clear traffic out a bit at a time and toss those cars to the side of the road. Now that that problem is solved what can I do as an encore.

Traffic enforcers should enforce right and left, back and front, and get all that money from violations… reward those enforcers with the most collection of traffic violations, and hit the violators where it hurts most… their pocketbooks. So easy. That’s what ‘s happening here. A $ 350 fine for a simple 5 mile over the speed limit.

The penalties here is usually less than US$20… And traffic enforcers accept bribes for about US$3. Really a pity…!

Sadly, that was done before but it didn’t work because our enforcers are under the payroll of the bus operators.
